A feathery palm for the birds

These are native (there is one to the right of this one)

Here is an example of the "weed Palm" better known as Palmetto

I call it "weed" because of its prolific nature in propagation -- they pop up all over the place

They are in fact, a nice looking palm tree  

 I left a few to grow to fill in the green wall I want here.

His brother -- just to the right -- now these guys just started sprouting -- 

I just pulled all those around it, and let them grow -- they both are about 8months old.

Here is what happens when you don't cull them quickly.  

This is growing under my oak.  I am going to have to dig it out one day.  

Rather have the Live Oak, than another palm tree.
